Costumes by Filep Motwary, Jewellery by Maria Mastori, Directed by Suzie Q and Leo Siboni.

Winner of Young Talent Prize at ASVOFF by DIANE PERNET on Oct.7, 2011 at Centre Pompidou Paris

For their NUPTIALIS project, Greek jewelry designer Maria Mastori and Cypriot fashion designer Filep Motwary reached out to the Paris-based, up and coming duo Suzie Q and Leo Siboni, in order to make a fashion-film collaboration. In this film, tinged with surrealism, the garment becomes the answer to an intrigue, a mystery, but also a  character in itself — a fantastic object, in the cinematic sense of the word.

The film is to be part of the Hasselt Modemuseum’s new PRINTS exhibit in Hasselt, Belgium, and was made with the support of Moonwalk Films, The Stimuleye’s creative director Antoine Asseraf, and Vogue Italia.

The directors
The film Is this real life was directed by young French artist duo Suzie Q & Leo Siboni. Fashion photography team Suzie Q and Leo Siboni have well and truly perfected the art of the fashion film. Suzie studied art in fine art school of Paris and Leo focused on film studies. They quickly confessed their common taste for B and Z movies. Directed like feature films, their fashion series are full of cinematic references, ranging from the French New Wave to John Carpenter or even Ford style westerns with the series ‘‘Screen Play’’.
