Fashion Workshop by Vicky Kaya presents “FASHION ON SCREEN”, a selection of fashion films by Filep Motwary, from 13 to 16 November 2013, for the first time in Greece, at the new revamped Screening Room of NIXON.
NΙΧΟΝ becomes the perfect meeting point for all fashion and cinema lovers. For four days films will be screened, curated by the talented costume designer, photographer and blogger Filep Motwary, summarizing the core meaning of fashion, its influence on cinema.
From iconic masterpieces such as The Hunger (1983) starring David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve, to documentaries dedicated to the lives and works of Helmut Newton, Jean Paul Gaultier and Diana Vreeland, the event summarizes the multidimensional nature of the fashion business.
Fashion persona Diane Pernet, the godmother of the first worldwide established fashion film festival ASVOFF, compliments FASHION ON SCREEN with eight award winning films from all the editions of ASVOFF, featuring works by Erwin Olaf, Elisha Smith-Leverock, Jason Last, SølveSundsbø, Suzie Q & Leo Siboni, Jessica Mitrani, Monica Menez and Bharat Sikka.
Fashion journalists, photographers and bloggers from all around the world will be invited in this four-day fest, whose purpose is to promote the industry of Greek Fashion, as well as rejuvenate the interest of people in it and give creative “food” for thought.

*The opening day of FASHION ON SCREEN will take place on Wednesday 13 November 2013, at 19.30, with the screening of “White Drama: Comme des Garçons” by Antoine Asseraf and “The Hunger” (1983), followed by an invitation only the Fashion On Screen Opening Party at 21.30. Simultaneously, there will be a screening of “Fashion in Film”, a montage by Filep Motwary featuring glorious moments from the history of modern cinema.
FASHION ON SCREEN will take place at NIXON Screening Room: 61B Agisilaou Str. in Keramikos, Athens, from 13 to 16 of November 2013.
The entrance to all screenings is free, with a limited number of seats.
