Dear Filep and iDEALS, The other night I had the chance to be invited to the launch party for the 2nd issue of the new bi-annual fashion & culture magazine SSAW in Paris and wanted to share that with you.
Helsinki-based SSAW brings together the best of Finnish and international talent. With co-founders art director Timo Ilola and editor in chief Salli Raeste, lead by editorial director Chris Vidal Tenomaa and fashion director Tuomas Laitinen, a talented team of international young blood contributors offers a raw & paired down aesthetics being at the same time real & exciting, as a deliberate counter reaction to the over polished & digitally manipulated imagery that runs everywhere.
The issue #2 features strong aw1213 editorials shot by David Armstrong, Karim Sadli, Benjamin Alexander Huseby, Kira Bunse, Gosha Rubchinskiy to name just a few and styled by the likes of Lotta Volkova, Thomas Engel Hart or Emma Wyman amongst others, as well as great interviews of Ann Demeulemeester by Daniel Thawley and Fumito Ganryu by Junsuke Yamasaki.
On that night, a nice bunch of fashionistas gathered around the magazine's team at Le Tigre to celebrate the launch of that brand new issue and I spotted senior fashion editor Lotta Volkova spinning with Mugler communication manager Alban Adam, fashion director Tuomas Laitinen hiding behind a copy of the mag, managing editor Anna Pesonen flaunting a beautiful hairdo, sexy model Carlos Ferra or men with beards…

Dear Filep and iDEALS,
on September 12th PRIMITIVE LONDON organized a party in a London Fields warehouse.
Primitive is based both in London and Tokyo with an art gallery and store for which they have just launched: TXT / IMG / AUD / VID. Primitive London's aim is to move away from the fleeting, expandable nature of blog posts and to create on-line pieces based around the listed mediums enduring the ephemeralities of fashion and everyday internet interaction.
There were different contributors and the night was really inspiring.
Dear iDEALS, it was the third-in-a-row birthday bash, after London and New York, for The Business Of Fashion's 5th anniversary celebration, hosted this time in Florence by POLIMODA at the Villa Favard.
A well respected number from members of the international fashion community gathered at the villa for another night to remember. An event with the most wonderful crowd, the most amazing DJ, who managed to turn the evening to the most romantic incident, under the starlight of Florence...
