This morning I found myself backstage at Nicholas Andreas Taralis, who continued on his Gothic trajectories with romantic sheer shirts and dresses, amazing tailored leather jackets, chunky fur and leather boots, androgynous silhouettes for the girls and cashmere, silk and jeans for the boys, along with fierce jewellery by Nora Renaud. Taralis is a true romantic at heart. While the models were putting on their first outfit, for no apparent reason, Buffy Sainte Marie's haunting song was stuck in my head.
Dries Van Noten never fails me, never fails anyone. An ode to sophisticated feminitity, a parade of pure luxury embellished in feathers, crystals and emrboideries. I couldn't stop takings photographs. Thank you to the great PR team for the warm accomodation.
The models for 24/4 FW13/13 collection walked under the piano sounds of Hauschka who performed live along with drummer Thomas Klein. A compact, warm presentation that took place at Creative Door's headquarters, with a few selected guests who were recycled within certain amount of time, on repeat. The clothes, all wearable with a modern elegance that any man or woman would adjust to.
