Dear iDEALS, Talent and Culture of Fashion are the keys to get into the POLIMODA FASHION WEEK, which will take place in January from 8 to 11, 2013 on the occasion of Pitti Uomo 83.
The protagonists of this edition are two POLIMODATALENT: Erïk Bjerkesjö, who recently won Who Is On Next?/Pitti Uomo and he will feature a site-specific performance of his collection, and Yojiro Kake, which will offer an installation of his stylistic vision. They both wanted to present their creations in Polimoda spaces at Villa Favard, where they are trained and inspired.
Moreover, Yojiro Kake will participate with the students of Fashion Technology course at a project called MacroMonster & MicroMusic, commissioned by Alcantara and created by Felice Limosani, in which you can explore the endless creative possibilities of this material.
The POLIMODA FASHION WEEK will continue in the name of Fashion culture and image. Among the events not to be missed, will be the presentation and “Book Signing” of the new book by Scott Schuman “The Sartorialist”.

The tribute to books and love to read – as well as being the theme of Pitti Uomo 83 – is also the concept of the fourth edition of the Florence&Fashion, event by RCS Mediagroup, that on the occasion of Pitti Uomo will set up in Piazza della Repubblica, a large installation, open for the entire week. Finally, the appointment with Filep Motwary, costume designer, photographer and blogger, who during the Polimoda Fashion Week will interview Polimoda teachers and students, opinion makers with a video format of Q&A to trigger a reflection on how the values of the creativity of the past are associated with those current.
