Dear iDEALS, for the first time prints in vivid hues are introduced in Masha Mas collections. Applied to pleated fabrics and mixed with delicate hand embroidery they give a strong indication of the designer’s current mood. Working with her near trademark white at the core, a whirl of colours referencing the betta are added, with blues –inky to aqua, rust,green, yellow and nude, as well as a shimmering palette of bronze and silver.
A loosening up of silhouette is a
conscious decision by the designer not
to force or constrain the fabrics. Yet the
construction and cut that is fast
becoming synonymous with her name
are evident. Sculptured jackets are
both cropped and oversized, form-
fitting skirts finish with a kickflare either
zipped or unzipped to create an
irregularity of line and movement.
The season also introduces the first
Masha Ma footwear collaboration with
iconic design brand United Nude.
Leathers in nude and navy, chromed
heels in silver and electric blue
perfectly match the garment palette
while the curved and cut out form of
the shoe mirror the contours of the
collection.
