Dear iDEALS, with great passion for old handicraft techniques the designer Jessica Schröder launched the label, named after her grandmother, in Autumn 2010.
Every piece of the collection is designed
and developed in her studio by improvising and experimenting with old handicraft methods.
Inspired by old vintage clothes, nature and the art of the late 19th century, she is creating
romantic and feminine accessories - elaborate and full of details.
Jessica graduated at the University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg with a diploma in fashion
design. She was gaining experience in fashion as intern at the knitwear department of
„Diane von Furstenberg, New York“ and as long-time design assistant at the German
accessory label „the girl and the gorilla“. As freelance designer she has created knitwear for Elisa Palomino‘s Spring/ Summer Collection 2012.
Her Autumn/Winter collection 2012/13 "Put a Bow on it“ is the most extensive collection to date featuring a range of versatile collars, necklaces, headbands and headpieces. The poetic and dreamy collection references the mid-19th century as well as the 1920‘s.
For the winter, MARGOT creates striking and complex quality pieces, by combining
common jacquard patterns, lavish crochet trims and fluffy mohair fringe edging with chunky
brass chains, sequins and light-catching Swarovski Crystal Elements.
The accessories are made out of lustrous silky cotton and various soft mohair yarns in a neutral
colour palette, featuring a warm golden tone, a dark emerald shade, a tinting white and a
shimmering black.
