Dear iDEALS, JOYCE is making international headlines with the launch of its groundbreaking fashion collaboration which sees the retailer team up with legendary designer Romeo Gigli.
After a successful launch in Hong Kong and Beijing, the legendary designer will bring his unique glamour back home to Italy. To celebrate the occasion, JOYCE is pleased to announce the opening of the JOYCE Venice pop up store on August 15th 2012, showcasing Gigli’s exclusive Autumn/Winter 2012 collection.
Following on from the unique archive exhibition shown in China and Hong Kong, the Venice store displayed the latest autumn/winter collection as well as a special preview of the Spring/Summer 2013 collection at the grand opening cocktail party on 30th August during the Venice Film Festival. Guests included Nicolas Pages, Tessa Zanga Camerino, Barbara Garavelli, Manila Bernardi, Cristina Cremaschini Carolina Gawronski, Davide Croff, Francesca Bortolotto Possati, Giovanni Giol, Servane Giol, Robert Rabinstein, Lucia Zavagli Ricciardelli and Toto Bergamo Rossi.
The luxurious and new JOYCE pop up store is located at Calle de Ridotto, close to Plaza San Marco in the heart of Venice, A stone’s throw away from the renowned Hotel Bauer, this prime location no doubt will draw fashion lovers from all walks of life looking to pay homage to Gigli’s work.
The 1,000sq.ft pop up store is tastefully furnished with accents of gold including lamps and a gold-plated coffee table, contrasted with vintage wood furniture. The walls are painted with nostalgic stripes and are covered with stunning images by renowned Chinese photographer Chen Man featuring an international cast of models wearing Gigli’s collection.
****To commemorate this joyous occasion, JOYCE invited Ms Angelababy to be the first one to wear “JOYCE by Romeo Gigli” Spring/Summer 2013 collection to attend the celebration activities. The filmmakers, celebrities and VIPs who came for the Venice Film Festival 2012 were also invited to attend the cocktail event.
