Dear iDEALS, I have been impatienly waiting for Raf Simons' interpretation of Christian Dior, though it seems so did others. Its a rarity these days to have the most prestigious names in fashion, all gathered in a room, if its not about a party. Of course I am not refering to the journalists, to keep things clear here. I am talking about Stella Tennant, Azedine Alaia, Nick Knight, Victoire De Castellane, Kris Van Assche, Charlotte Rampling, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alber Elbaz, Riccardo Tisci... they were all there to see Raf Simons' maiden collection for Christian Dior and definetely this means something. It could be something positive or negative. Who knows really?
The collection is truly elegant but not something new, someone could say. Based on Monsieur Dior's heritage designs, Simons revealed a woman who is safe, either when wearing a dress or while in capri pants. There was something about the cut, the shape of them all, bringing an immaculate outcome.
Nevertheless, its a gorgeous collection, perfectly made, perfectly presented and frankly I would love to be this woman (lost in the sounds of Aphex Twin).

you might love to be that woman, but allez, it's not the DIOR woman of 2012 eh?
