Dear Filep and iDEALS, with each new edition, SALON/ expands and connects its existing network with new participants; this time it contains the creative network of the Netherlands and Turkey, as part of the celebration of 400 years of cultural relationships (NLTR400), for which SALON/ is invited to be part of Istanbul first official Design Biennial organized by IKSV.
SALON/Istanbul displays Dutch and Turkish fashion and product design, art and multimedia installations, divided over several locations. For this occasion FASHIONCLASH was invited to present a few designers. On behalf of FASHIONCLASH, Femke Agema have showcased their work during Salon/Istanbul. Beside them HSara Vrugt, one of the FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2012 participants was also invited to exhibit her work. You can see their beautiful creations installed in various locations. Each edition of Salon is a pleasant and inspiring experience.
Hidden treasures in stunning locations, museums and for this edition also in De Oude Kerk in Amsterdam where beautiful couture of the fashion label BLAENK was installed. SALON/Istanbul is a co-collaboration with Dutch DFA, SICA, Het Nederlands Consulaat in Istanbul and ROMAN Hazır Giyim.
