Dear Filep and iDEALS, on July 13th "High Fashion Low Countries" revealed a sneak preview in collaboration with Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond, as official part of Amsterdam Fashion Week Downtown.
A vivid example of how relevant entities and cutting-edge designers from Belgium and The Netherlands are, "HIGH FASHION LOW COUNTRIES" takes note of our changing times, pointing out cultural entitiesas not being only a business, commading a broad thinking and asking us to be more imaginative in order to ensure their continuing excellence and long-term success.
Sustainable development, craftsmanship, the use of alternative materials and a less-seasonal view on fashion have gained attention amongst entrepreneurs and emerging designers in both countries.
For this project each designer worked on a capsule collection of three looks that will be presented in an upcoming exhibition in Brussels from October 12th to 26th 2012.
One look from each collection is presented here in exclusive at De Brakke Grond during Amsterdam Fashion Week.
A must-see tip for everyone who is in Amsterdam during the fashion week!
Project curated by: Javier Barcala (The Believers + La Fortuna Studio) Eve-Marie Kuijstermans Dutch designers: Jantine van Peski, Pauline van Dongen and Natalie de Koning. The Belgian designers: Lena Lumelsky, Céline de Schepper and Katrien van Hecke
