PRIVATE VIEW: MARILYN AT MUSEO SALVATORE FERRAGAMO

Dear iDEALS, starting from tomorrow June 20th to January 28th 2013 at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Florence.

The Salvatore Ferragamo Museum pays homage to Marilyn Monroe with a major exhibition dedicated to Marilyn Monroe, half a century after her sudden death.

The curators have sought to interpret the genesis of certain famous photographs of Marilyn myth, female spiritualized icon, pop icon, in classic poses, with art works representing the memory of similar behaviours and expressions.

Linda Loppa, kindly invited to attend the private viewing earlier today. Thank you Tracy!

I was shocked when entered the room featuring her "movie" costumes, one after the other her famous dresses, carefully placed next to notebooks, movie stills and scripts

What is also amazing at the Ferragamo museum is Salvatore's legendary shoes that are on display. I'm sure you know most of them but trust me, it's completely different to see them from up-close.
