Dear Filep and iDEALS,
here I am! This time offering a touristic tour through the Italian heritage. Just to place our local beauties in everyone's head since all fashion people are leaving from Milano by tomorrow.
Yesterday as well as today was like a summary of our best painters, starting from 1300aC till the beginning of the last century: our historical buildings, our fabulous past, our actresses and models were strolling up and down the runway.
The duo Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi (for their eponymous Aquilano.Rimondi) quoted Tiepolo, Mantegna and Artemisia, creating silk scuba dresses.
The Chinese, London-Based Uma Wang presented her collection at Palazzo Reale, in the ancient Sala Delle Cariatidi, the last room of the palace, still conserved, which occupies the site of the old theater which was by fire back in 1776.
Tommaso Cecchi De'Rossi at Dada meeting point, the new concept store in town, presented his collection of accessories, dyed in wine pigments. The dye was developed from curcuma, spinach and other natural pigments that react, according to the level of alcohol and acidity of the wine.
Fabrizio Talia and his brand (Es)* Artisanal, produced the video “Stage of becoming”, starring Simonetta Gianfelici, the famous italian model from 80-90’s (the movie has been presented at Alta Roma and here in Milan screened at Riccardo Grassi showroom), who played the role of Maya Deren.
The new Italian brand May shoes, by Giorgia Pavan and Martina Ferri Faggioli, presented a new collection...
Giorgio Armani celebrated the outline of classic, giving birth once more to a more than a classy woman. The collection was received as a remark on the "Made in Italy" tag, as it is the best in the world...
Till next season! Enjoy Paris!
