The Beautiful People - Fashion Video Festival Hungary took place in November 12-13-14 at Museum Ludwig - Contemporary Art Museum Budapest. The project has been founded by Sophie Baksa stylist and Dora Abodi fashion designer to serve as an independent platform for regional and international video artists.
Beside the contest screenings, the festival visitors could have an inside view on fashion video genre through fashion related conferences, and informational screenings with such artists as Wing Shya, Marisa Crawford, Zena Holloway, Filep Motwary, Tess Feuilhade, Andrew Kuykendall, Kathryn Ferguson, Andreas Waldschuetz, Jason Last and Jamie Rubiano.

The program also embraces the opportunities of interactive new media in fashion. The festival sponsored the invention of such installations as "Spacescan" by Bence Adam Kiss, which is an interactive 3 dimensional lookbook, where the user is able to control the view of the projected image with the moving of the display itself, the "Fluorescent Wall" by Bence Adam Kiss, an UV sensitive wall which indicates the non-permanent silhouettes of the festival visitors
and a real time video installation ""LIVE MY SHOOT"" by Janos Visnyovszky.

The jury teamed up from experts from various fields in media, fashion, art and film, amongst others Kathryn Ferguson video artist, who besides directing fashion and music videos also the curator of Birds Eye View Festival, and the creator of Sandpeople project, the Vienna based Andreas Waldshuetz. The contest screening showcased the 26 best pre-selected works of the 38 entries.
The jury selected three winners and three special prizes and ended the festival at the Festival Award Gala held in Merlin Theatre, Budapest.
Until the next FVF in 2011 November, the festival team keep continue to promote upcoming designers and video makers to gain international attention.
