ART OF NOISE

For over decades the word NOISE was used by older generations to criticize up and coming new movements in music, art and fashion. Think of the Rock & Roll generation, the art scene in New York in the 70’s, The designs of Coco Chanel all were called NOISE by the older generation when they started to emerge. But most things labeled Noise became accepted in normal society and slowly became a reference to a specific era in time.

NOISE has something romantic in a time we are forced by television and camera manufacturers to turn to HD.  In a world that is sometimes too real anyway it’s nice to have some romance in images and let yourself fantasize unseen parts instead of been given a to clear image for which you don’t need any imagination.

The ART OF NOISE is a salute to everything that was created out of NOISE and Chaos and became an essential part of a specific time and era. 

Long live the ART OF NOISE.

Dear iDEALS, Sunday was spent at home with friends from Paris. Rene and Antoine are returning to the city of lights tomorrow morning, prepared for what's to come in the next two months.

Dear Filep and iDEALS,this is a really great show I attended during Copenhagen Fashion two weeks ago.

This youngster Silas Adler is gonna take the world by storm... He really made an impact by a drawing one of the most jammed packed shows I went to.. Elegant refined laid back street wear, with interesting cross world inspirations. With a daring vision that surprises it makes even the most conservative feel like they could pull it off.

One of Copenhagens favourite sons surely got the whole city behind him, drawing the movers and shakers from the local scene to support his 5th showcase. Filep and iDEALS, I'd like you to meet Silas......

SONNY VANDEVELDE EXPOSED

 

Dear iDEALS, Aussie Sonny Vandevelde's works are no secret. As soon as any of the big fashion weeks begin, make sure that you are fast enough to see him running around with his camera. If you are visiting Diane Pernet's blog during that period, there's in no doubt that you are one of the first lucky few to see what happened backstage. 

  

And that stands for all the major defiles, because Sonny is always there, faster than a ray of light.

    

The time has arrived for him to exhibit his wonderful backstage snapshots. A variety of photographs taken between models changing outfits, screaming assistants ,all happening where the true meaning of the word hysteria has a place. The photos start from the early 2003 to this day.

      

The trained spectators will also be able to spot the evolvement of fashion through the years and it's changes. Sonny's work is truly alive and I am happy that I had the chance to meet him in person two months ago in Croatia.
